We are currently seeking Helpers for September.

A purpose designed rural community is being created on the Tasman Peninsula, 100km from Hobart, and 10 minutes from the historic site of Port Arthur.

Our place offers a Working Holiday to those who are looking for alternative ways to subsidise their travel or living costs.

A Working Holiday is a method of exchanging work for accommodation. Working Holiday arrangements are for a minimum of 4 weeks. Some helpers stay for several months. Free shared accommodation, with food supplied, is offered in exchange for 6 hours work, 6 days per week.

Each day there are many tasks to be done to keep this place, which includes Parsons Bay Retreat, running smoothly. The work itself is sometimes very basic and physical, such as the jobs in housekeeping, food service and gardening. (It is a good way to get or keep fit!). Plus, there is the development of the Village, a purpose designed subdivision creating living systems that are sustainable, affordable and attractive investments. Work in the Village involves development of food production areas, landscaping and building.

The Tasman Peninsula is a great place to discover and enjoy; wild surf beaches, tallest sea cliffs in Australia, kayaking, quiet coves, amazing bush walks, swimming, horse riding, eco-boat tours, fishing and meeting the local community!

Our place can suit long term stays especially for those who are looking for a quiet place while they are writing, studying remotely/practicing natural therapies etc. We now have a natural therapy/treatment room available for guests and the local community.

We can assist with day count towards Working Holiday Visa extensions (conditions apply, as per Department of Immigration Department requirements).
