Volunteers needed for Torquay Backpackers

We are an independent family run backpackers in Torquay, Devon. The backpackers sleeps 50 guests and is open all year round. We employ travellers from all over the world here and Devon is a great base to explore the beautiful South West of England. We are looking for outgoing fun people who speak good English to join us.We ask for 18 hours per week in exchange for accommodation, internet access, etc. We ask people stay for a minimum of 1 month. We have 2 roles to fill here,
1. Reception/Housekeeping at the Backpackers.
2. Housekeeping/babysitting at our home.
Normally our helpers work 3 x 6 hour shifts per week with 4 days off (in a row where possible)or 6 x 3 hour shifts at our home. This is flexible if you secure additional work. The role at our house requires you to work 9am to 12am Monday to Saturday. We can also help in the search for full time work in Torquay if you wish to stay a little longer.
Due to us not serving food at the Backpackers we are unable to offer meals. There is a self catering kitchen with everything you would need that you can use 24 hours per day.
Housed in a listed Victorian terraced building, the hostel is centrally located in the beautiful seaside town of Torquay on the English Riviera. From the Hostel it is a short walk to the beach and harbour. We welcome individual, groups and family holidaymakers from overseas and Britain who come to enjoy the beautiful coastline, the moors and all the other things that the area has to offer. We are in an ideal location for those walking the coast path or cycling the Westcountry. If you are on a working holiday visa Torquay is a great place to look for seasonal work, for those who want to escape the big cities. This is a good place to base yourself whilst you look because we offer very reasonable weekly rates.
We have had a really good response and have a number of people lined up to come stay with us, so please let us know when you want to come to Torquay and how long you can stay for. Due to the nature of the positions we require a high level of English as you will be dealing with guests.
