Permaferry

Location: Portaferry, Northern Ireland

We're a Northern Irish / Dutch couple running a 1 acre smallholding on permaculture and Fukuoka-style natural farming principles. We are looking for volunteers with initiative and a genuine interest in what we are doing. Tasks vary with seasons, but are rarely heavy duty as we've pretty much retired our spades and we consider weeds our friends. There are various small building projects in the pipeline, we are planting a small food forest and forage a lot for our needs. Accommodation for 2 are in spare room or in our Mongolian yurt if there is need for more space. We have some chickens and a dog and a cat. Occasionally we need people for short periods to house sit, as we go back to Italy a lot where we also have a mature food forest. For more info, check out https://permaferry.wordpress.com.
