Help on a croft on Bernera in the western isles of Scotland.

We need independent folk to come and help with heavy crofting/farm work for about 5 hours a day.Digging ditches, cutting wood, clearing out sheds, working at the peats, helping at shearing, digging up rushes, gathering seaweed, helping fencing, possibly re-thatching this year etc, mostly all hard physical work!
In exchange is a magnificent location on the sea, in peace and quiet, your own room, shower, clothes washed for you and all (vegetarian) meals, rare boat trips, 2 free days a week, limited Wi-Fi (due to our location on an island attached to the Isle of Lewis). Jollies to traditional music nights, and visits to local SSSIs, joining in with the family activities.
We don’t take people all year round because of the severe weather conditions in November, December, January, February, and are too busy in July and August. But are always interested to meet different folk and prefer a 2 week stay. Thank you.
