Hello! We are Petter and Angela, we live in Swedish lapland with our 3 young children, beef cows and a whole lot of huskies (90, in fact)! We live in a remote part of lapland on a farm surrounded by beautiful nature. In the winter we train and race alaskan huskies and arrange small boutique tours to wilderness cabins.
We're looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to join us for the winter season from November to March. We'd love someone to join our team to help with the cleaning of our guest house, some childcare and other duties. The work would be 5/6 hours, 5 days a week. You will have plenty of free time to enjoy the local nature, maybe ski and definitely get to know our amazing dogs!
This position would be perfect for a volunteer who is interested in learning about small scale, sustainable tourism in the northern regions and who loves dogs - you might like to spend some of your free time learning from the kennel team how to care for alaskan huskies, or about beef cattle.
Our kennel is in the village of Slussfors, in Västerbotten. The area is very remote, on the edge of the beautiful Vindelfjällen Nature Reserve with it's incredible mountains, forests and lakes. Despite the remote location we do have some local amenities, a shop and even a gym!
Our team suits people who love dogs and nature, are responsible and eager to learn.
If this sounds like you, get in touch, we'd love to hear from you!
