Greetings to all travelers, backpackers and explorers who wish to get to know better colourful, lively and friendly capital of Serbia while staying in a cool, friendly, very clean place with a warm vibe. El Diablo Hostel is a small, friendly, home-style hostel in a quiet residential building in the Old Town area of Belgrade. We are two friends (Nikola and Dragan) who started this place in 2013... Ever since then we have hosted hundreds of great people, and also had some amazing volunteers who left our hostel as our close and dear friends and family. El Diablo is NOT a party hostel, and we usually describe it as "A Hot Spot for Cool People"... we are more of a home-away-from-home type of establishment with a personal touch and relaxed atmosphere. Position is open throughout the year and we offer volunteering which can be between 3 weeks and 3 months.We will provide accommodation (bed and locker in a dorm and storage space for larger pieces of luggage in a designated area with no access of others), free use of laundry whenever is needed, as well as free meal whenever we organize family dinners in the hostel, which happens occasionally. Whenever it is possible, we will provide our volunteers with city tours of Belgrade organized by the third party for free. We are looking for friendly, smart, polite, responsible, reliable and cheerful people with developed communication skills and good conduct with people who would like to stay in Belgrade, meet new friends, have fun and help us run the hostel. Duties include nightshifts, help with maintenance, laundry and basic cleaning and communication and interaction with guests. Fluency in English is a must, while other languages are welcome. Volunteers usually work two nightshifts and then they are two whole days free, and the cycle repeats, which gives our volunteers enough time to rest, relax, explore the city, have fun with fellow backpackers... We provide crash-course in basic administration and reception desk tasks, in case of late or early checkins and checkouts. Our volunteers will never be left alone to deal with any issues, and we will be always around to help and assist them. We do not expect our volunteers to be experienced, but to be friendly, cheerful, educated, with developed communication skills, tidy, reliable and responsible. The absolute dealbreakers are excessive abuse of alcohol and use of psychoactive substances. If you have any additional questions... we will be happy to hear from you!!!!
