Our company, B-Nature is very dynamic and offers exclusive and unique products in 2 different locations, Ulvik and Osa. these small places are considered by many to be in the Top-10 of the worlds most beautiful destinations. Osa is 9 km away from Ulvik and it is where the road ends and the mountains begin!
We are growing all the time and add new products, packages and arrangements every year. This make us an attractive destination for our customers and guests, as well as for our staff and volunteer helpers.
B-Nature is a family driven company, but with a strong structure and serves as an umbrella for various operations. We own and operate:

We highly appreciate working with volunteers and have a lot of experience with them. The past 10 years we welcomed more than 100 volunteers coming from almost 30 different countries.
We -the family that owns B-Nature- originate from Belgium and speak fluently Norwegian, English, Dutch, Flemish, German, French, and understand Danish and Swedish, so communication should not be a problem. we do not expect you to speak or understand Norwegian, but you have to be fluently speaking, reading and writing English.
WORKING ARRANGEMENT
After you have contacted us, we will ask you to fill in our application forms and have some videomeetings to get to know eachother. After we both agreed, we can discuss your tasks -we always take your skills and whishes into consideration-, and before you come to us we should have expressed our mutual expectations so there will be no surprises during your stay with us.
What kind of work can we offer you?
In the Strand Fjordhotel in Ulvik:
• work in the garden, cutting grass, pruning fruit trees, berry-bushes, roses and plants
• logistics such as stocking the linen and provision rooms
• taking care of the garbage and keeping the surroundings clean
• small repairs, paint jobs, maintaining equipment and tools
• shuttle between the hotel in Ulvik and basecamp in Osa
In the B-Active Centre in Osa or Ulvik:
• Work at the reception desk and welcome and inform guests about our products
• Helping with the rental of bikes and kayaks
• Promoting activities, help with events
• Maintaining and clean equipment (bikes-kayaks-boats-accessories)
• Assist with Guiding & instructing during workshops, courses or excursions
At Hardanger Basecamp in Osa:
• housekeeping tasks, cleaning yurts and restrooms
• washing and folding linen, towels
• Picking wild fruit and vegetables and processing them into jam, cake or salad dishes.
• Helping with all kinds of outdoor jobs (painting, chopping wood, etc.)
• Helping with general maintenance
In the Kafeen in Osa
• preparing breakfast and serve diner to overnight staying guests
• welcome and serve tourists, take orders for food and drinks and serve them
• Help in the kitchen preparing pancakes and dishes.
• cleaning duties and dishwashing
• receiving guests for Hardanger Basecamp and bring their luggage them to their yurt
• welcome and help customers with the rental or other activities
We ask our volunteers to help us out for 6 days a week, 6 hours a day.
Days and schedules will vary depending on the work that you are assigned to, so flexibility is an important quality and extra effort is appreciated.
One of our aims is to give you an unforgettable experience. You will be part of an extremely professional and highly motivated team. Not only can you learn a lot from us on a professional level, but we also provide the opportunity for you to take different nature related courses and workshops.
So if you like to learn more about edible plants, food and digestion, fire, prehistoric cooking techniques and Earth Skills, survival and much more, we will gladly teach you this.
In your free time, you are allowed to make use of our kayaks, bikes, fishing equipment, row boats and join excursions if possible.
LIVING ARRANGEMENT
*** Your Accommodation***
Depending on the location of work and availability you will get a room in the Strand Fjordhotel&motel, or in one of our yurts in the resort. It is expected that you agree to share a room/yurt with other volunteers when needed.
All the meals such as breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided. if you are vegan or vegetarian, we are fully prepared for that.

Ulvik and Osa are located at the end of Hardangerfjord and are known amongst the Norwegians as the “Pearl of Hardanger.”
This region has a rich in history and teh natural surroundings provide everything you need for any outdoor activity you can think of.
Osa is internationally recognized for having, according to tests, the purest drinking water in the world. On top of that, the fresh air, the diversity in nature and the magnificent views make this an unforgettable place.
Right in the backyard of Osa is Hardanger Vidda, a 100km wide mountain plateau.
Ulvik is also known for and promoted as the fruit garden of Norway because of its many apple, pear and cherry orchards. Local farms make juice, liquor, wine and cider from their apples and are sold locally in town.
We are approximately 2 hours away from Bergen and 1 hour from Voss (by car or bus).
Nearby are some well-known attractions: Trolltunga – Preikestolen – Folgafonna Glacier.
