Teach English, help a family with childcare and learn Italian

Hello! We are a family of three living in a village close to Ragusa: I am a 40 years old primary school teacher and teacher of Italian as a second language, my husband and our 8 years old boy who is the main reason why we are here.Our son is a very energetic boy so, basically, he likes to do many different activities such as playing with Lego bricks (he builds his own world with Lego's), art crafts', board games, he's a good reader but he also enjoys listening to someone who reads for him (Pete the Cat books are his favourites right now!), just like outdoor activities (when the weather is nice) like swimming, playing football and riding his bike. He's very curious and eager to find out the misteries of the world (dinosaurs, minerals and volcanoes and so on!). He can't play any instruments but he would love to, if the volunteer has a music skill and wishes to teach him.
Being an only child, he likes so much interacting with our volunteers, showing you his "world" and being engaged in some activities.
We are not looking for a nanny but a big sister for our son, a reliable and smiling girl who is able to inspire him and enrich him, in other words, a caring person we would like to welcome as a family member! For these reasons, we encourage a long stay.
EXPERIENCE with kids of 8-10 years old (boys) is preferred and of course you must be a kid lover, playful, smiling, positive and able to find clever strategies when needed!
My son and his wellness are my PRIORITY: he has to be happy with you. If you don't like kids, or you may find hard deal with them, please, don't apply!
IN A FEW WORDS ..
Our ideal volunteer must be:
family oriented
has experience in teaching to children in order to help our son improving English and being more confident.
has basic cooking skills (very basic!)
is not internet/mobile/social/TV addicted (at least, not when she has to spend her time with him)
talkative and energetic but calm at the same time
loves playing with children and she is responsible
a tidy person who helps at home as a member of the family
not a party girl (she doesn't go to bed too late)
interested in languages and culture exchange
interested in being part of our family
What you are expected to do:
play a lot with our son
tide up your bedroom
actively push our son to speak
help him with writing and reading in English and correct him and me speaking
What you will be able to do:
visit Sicily during the weekend (we live in the area of the famous tv serie "Montalbano")
go to the gym when you are free
climb and run in the forest
eat always a good quality of fresh food
Attending Italian classes
#We'd like to host a girl who can easly get used to our routine: no smoking-drinking-etc., no going to bed too late in the evening, being reliable, responsible, easy-going, smiling, talkative, calm and friendly.
You have to play and speak a lot with our son (no tv or dvd) only in English.
You will be treated like a family member: we try to do our best to help each-other and we expect the same from you.
You are not required to clean the house but some help will be appreciated, like doing the vacuum sometimes, help at dinner time or when you wish.
It's not a job, it's not a holiday. I would say that it is an experience to learn about a new culture, a new language and travel a bit, living in an Italian family.

##Weekends are always free: a chance to explore the island!
Of course we can be flexible on your schedule if you want to go somewhere, but it is important that you tell us in advance. At reasonable hours, we will be happy to drive you to the nearest bus station where you can catch a bus to the nearby cities (or to Catania and Palermo): it's a ten minutes drive and I can pick you up on your return.
Moreover, we would be very pleased to show you the most beautiful places of our areas or to go on a trip when we are on vacations.
Accommodation:
Our apartment is not very big but you will be provided a private room with single bed, sofa, cupboard, a small table and a tv

Breakfast, lunch and dinner included/if we go somewhere you are welcome to come with us.
We live in the city center: everything you may need is at walking distance.
