Help our little family farm among oranges and Etna in Sicily

Important informations: hosting just on limitated periods, open vacancy: We need a couple of friends/partners/whatever from the 23 of june to the 7 of july (2 weeks) becouse we wiill need to go away for approx 4 days in the middle of that period and we need someone to keep our place alive! (watering the plants, feeding the animals, sunbathing and so on..!)
The original arab channel used for irrigation gives the name to our project, Saja, it carries water and gives life with it, from it's presence and from it's sound comes out our aim.
For us it's a conscious choice of life.
Blessed by the welcoming presence of the river and by the changing times of nature.
A choice of sharing places and elements.
A tiny group of people that looking outside and inside of themselves, choose the land as a space for confrontation.
A place for experimentation between new and old techniques of Permaculture and natural/organic farming.
There are moments of hard work, of quietness, heavy summer sweat, soft music and long sleeps.
We need Help and we give Help in our everyday life teaching and learning, harvesting and sharing, farming and living.
Accomodation is provided in the "Hosts trailer" or in tents.
Food is mixed, we're not vegans mostly vegetarians.
Our products are 100% natural/organic but we buy some products that we cannot produce from local market and local producers.
Must remind that our project started in June 2011 from an abandoned orange orchard and we're slowly changing it into our little organic paradise..but since we are not a farm and we basically don't make real profit out of our work but just have enough for self consumption (except in orange picking time from beginning of January until end of March when we get some income for our all year surviving and paying the taxes..), we have a shared money box from wich we pay the food we cannot produce, bills and so on, and a small contribution to the common expenses (about 3euro per day) is welcomed but not compulsive of course.
Hopefully one day we won't need it anymore becouse we would be producing so much that we might be self sufficient and using our extra to buy things we can't make.
At the moment living here is Salvo, one of the founders wich owns the land and works permanently here, Deina, a thoughtful antropologist with love for the nature, and our little son Nuri, born in december 2013! Time to time other friends come to stay for a while, help and support our stay..you'll probably meet Sara or Margherita (other co-founders of the project), Pietro our musician, Derek a lovely irish expat, Angelo, Rino, Valentina, Costanza, and many more...

Other than humans, we live with dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and a horse, so be aware if you have allergies or terrible fears of those above!
