TO VOLUNTEERS.: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY EVEN IF LONG. ASK MORE INFORMATION ALSO IN OTHER LANGUAGE BECAUSE MISUNDERSTANDING IS EASY AND DOESN'T HELP AT ALL.The house was built by my grand grand mother. She was a widow with ten children. They settled here because the soil was good for rising vegetables and a source of water was available. Then they built the house with mud bricks made by themselves. I heard this story when i was a child and it remains in my heart. Now that i live here with my son , i have a dream: giving new life to the house opening to other people and creating a new kind of family here. At present I work in town in the morning ( mon/fri 7/14), so, at the beginning,I will need help at home in the afternoon and during weekends.
I don’t expect volunteers to do more than 15 hours per week but, when we've agreed together a to do list they could continue the work even if i'm not there.
Work is about farming, house keeping, repairing items, ...
I've been restoring part of the house where we live in the last two years. So two guest rooms and a second bathroom are available.
I'm in couchsurfing and warmshowers from 2010 so i Haveguests from all over the world.I've been trying to rent rooms with airbnb but i'm doubtful if it's worth doing. The house and the land around is very big and many spaces inside and outside are not used yet. The potential is wide but italian economical situation, laws and taxes are to consider before going on.
That's why i need volounteers help to beautyfy house and surroundings also with cheap ideas maybe coming from previous experience. one thing i'm thinking about is hosting refugees because i'm very concerned in heping people that need. at the same time i want to create an association for Arts and Ecology because i think that work is important but beauty as well.
languages spoken are italian, French/English. Learning Spanish/German.
My son Willy, aged 21 now works abroad so probably he
will not be there very often. That's why i'm thinking about a man's help now.
In return volunteers receive accommodation in own room with double sofa-bed and bathroom plus free wifi. Products of vegetables garden and eggs can be picked from my mum because they're for family use only.
For breakfast and lunch volunteers should be independent but dinner will be together if they want.The
kitchen is shared and the fridge too.
The length of stay could be 7/15 days
Volunteers can borrow my bicycle but there is also a bus stop in front of the house. We
live just 3 km far from town.
Next to the house there is a bar serving meals for lunch too. Gazoline pump in front and a
shop selling bread and basic food 500m. far.
The valley were we live is very green and lots of small nice villages with castles and Romanic
churches on top of the hills.
