We are a young intentional community, at the moment only two and hopefully soon again three or four persons. Our house, the Bienennest (bee's nest), is a place to arrive, get to know each other and to experiment with community life. It's a temporary place, we are planning to move on in two or three years.
What's special about our project?
We live the simple good life and by this want to create the more beautiful world our hearts know is possible in the here and now. We are creating a place that is already a part of this other world and that shows us all the way there.
Here you can be just as you are, with all the issues that concern you. The Bienennest is a place to arrive, to rest and to be active. Open to the world and safe within. Unconditionality is an important value for us, which we also want to live with volunteers.
We take responsibility for a piece of the earth - our garden - and look after and care for it. We also like to go into the forest and collect wild garlic, chestnuts and mushrooms, depending on the season.
We would like to invite: self-responsibility, shared vegan meals, using social conflicts as an opportunity, hospitality, partial self-sufficiency, mindfulness and awareness, permaculture, trust, beauty and love.
WORKING ARRANGEMENT
We will start to refurbish our guest and volunteer room in may - shield the windows against the street noise, paint the walls, polish the floor, maybe create some furniture,... This is the main project we need help with.
Besides, there are always some tasks in the garden where we grow our own vegetables and have some fruit trees. Depending on the season you can also help us with food preservation.
We suggest 2-4 working hours per day, but we're not strict about that and can adapt to your abilities and needs.
Length of the stay is also flexible.
LIVING ARRANGEMENT
We have a guest room for volunteers and friends who come to visit us. During the time it will be refurbished, there’s another room that serves as guest room.
Dinner is always together and vegan. We also like to share breakfast, but sometimes we have different schedules and there might be days when you’ll have to prepare something just for yourself.
Usually we start our day with some movement - yoga, dancing,... You are very welcome to join in!
