We are Kay (37) and Angela (40), parents of Daan (7) and Pippa (2), a Dutch family who lives in the south of France.The village is called Agel and located in the versatile Languedoc-Roussillon region, in the Hérault department. It's in the heart of Minervois and close to Canal du Midi, Beziers, Carcasonne and Narbonne. The picturesque village of Agel offers idyllic French elements in its cultural history and architecture.
Our country house has breathtaking views where you can embrace the tranquillity. We are thriven to build our own little 'slow-living' paradise.
Besides our work for our 4 holiday apartments, we are always working in the garden or renovating in ore around the house.
We want to create an extraordinary life for ourselves. Combining our experience and knowledge in one company of our own has always been our ambition, and this works out well! A very prominent factor in this is the fact that we strive for independence and also want to earn our living in a healthy way: Working hard in a healthy environment.
That is why we are here now in Agel. But we miss time, a lot of time to expand our dreams, that's why we are looking for you!
We are surrounded by the airports of Carcassonne, Beziers, Toulouse, Montpellier and Perpignan, so very accessible. We provide shuttle service and their is a car or bike to borrow. We know the most beautiful places, wonderful hiking routes, good restaurants and fine sandy beaches and are happy to share this information with you.
What we offer you? We both are very open minded, positive, social and love to teach. Our house is your house, and everyone is welcome and equal! We love to be surrounded by inspiring thriven people with good ideas and an energetic inspiring work ethic, just like us. We don't like rules and are open to discuss everyone's wishes and work houres.
When we lived in In the Netherlands, Angela was a graphic designer, stylist and owner of a clothing boutique while Kay worked for the Ministry of Defence. Our knowledge base is extensive and we are happy to share it.
WORKING ARRANGEMENT
At least one week, think about tasks like taking care of meals, playing outside with our kids, helping in our idyllic garden, painting our house and window frames in the French sun and help to organise our structure and live here a bit more.
LIVING ARRANGEMENT
The house consists of the main house where the family lives, and 4 boutique lofts that exude calm, peace and privacy. You wil sleep and live in one of th private lofts. They are decorated in the minimalist and contemporary style, the lofts offer plenty of natural light, soft tones and earth tones and wooden accents. Although similar in their colour palette, each loft has its own unique personality, with carefully selected furniture, from family heirlooms to treasures from our travels. Each loft offers a serene space with a living room, a fully equipped kitchen, a bedroom with a queen-size bed, a bathroom with a shower and a separate toilet. The living room offers a large, comfortable sofa bed and ensuite doors opening onto your patio with panoramic views of the beautiful surrounding landscape.
