Do you want to be part of running the daily operations of a small, cosy hostel in the centre of Aarhus? Come and join us!

The hostel is a really nice industrial building that used to be a ‘telephone central’, a place where people stories were connected. We intend to revive its old spirit in modern age, and we are inviting you fellow travellers to join us on our quest to creating a ‘home away from home’ where people can share again new stories.

Volunteers will help in shifts (breakfast, housekeeping, events, light maintenance), including weekends, with two days off per week. Each shift lasts for 5 hours approx. and main tasks include making beds, cleaning, dishwashing, cooking, helping guests, running errands, bar tending, serving food etc.

What we offer:
-You will be a part of a team (8-10 people) that will focus on making our hostel a cosy and warm place for our guests.
-You will sleep in a separate bed in a larger dormitory with other crew members, and you will also share shower, toilet, washing & drying, and kitchen facilities.
-You can enjoy our delicious breakfast buffet every morning, and we deliver various groceries in order for our volunteers to make joint meals for lunch and dinner.
-Bedding, towels and Free WIFI are also provided.
-You can feel like home in our rooftop café area, and enjoy our roof-top terraces where you can relax and socialise.

What we expect from you:
- Be responsible and have the work at the hostel as your first priority
- A minimum of 3 week stay
- At least 1 week’s notice for change in departure date
- Participate equally in all crew-tasks such as cooking lunch and dinners as well as keeping your room tidy.
- Be a team player
- Be flexible with your schedule
- Respect our House Rules
