The ICCVTT or International Coordination Centre for Volunteer Teachers is a non-profit organisation established in January 2013 with the aim of improving the English skills of students in rural Thailand who lack contact with native English speakers. The program emphasizes providing educational opportunities, better school materials, and a better understanding of the English language among the schools within the Province of Sakaeo. This is primarily being undertaken by recruiting volunteer foreign teachers to teach English to the students. Volunteers are not paid a salary but rather, are recruited on the basis of giving their time and effort in return for free accommodation and meals during their stay at our schools. Teaching English to students and teachers is the core function of the volunteer. We expect the volunteer will gain valuable experience by having discussions and collaborating with teachers and students alike during the course of their stay. We see this program as a great benefit to the future of Thailand by assisting in improving the English literacy and skills of the people and ultimately propelling our nation to becoming highly competitive within the ASEAN community.for more information: www.freevolunteerthailand.org
