We are a couple of teachers living in Wang Nam Khiao District and we are looking for people willing to help teaching English to our students.
In our school, there are 250 students from 5 to 15 years old, and 14 teachers. You will be giving classes from 10 to 15 years old. The students are really kin on learning English and like to have entertaining classes, so will be teaching in a relaxing environment.
You will be staying at my place. We are 3 people in the family; my husband, my daughter in low. For your comfort and privacy, you will be sleeping in your own little cottage 10m away and 1 hut from the house. The place is surrounded by rice fields, mango trees, banana trees, bamboo, dragon fruit, This is a really relaxing patch of nature. Close by, there is a natural reserve where you can walk to small dam.
My English is not fluent but we can understand each other ;) My husband has a basic English improving when volunteers come. You are welcome to learn Thai language as I am a Thai language teacher.
You will be giving 3 hours of classes a day Monday to Friday. In exchange, you will receive accommodation and traditional Thai cuisine. Occasionally with the students, we go to the temple for ceremonies, and you are welcome to join if you wish to.
We can go sight seeing during the week-end. As well, within 10 km from the house you can enjoy the big Buddha at the top of the mountain, a walk in the natural reserve, the station reserve or to the village. There are a lot of temples around.
The period from mid-march to mid-may is school holidays and we won't be able to host you at that time.
