Our school in ZhongLi dist. of Taoyuan city where is 36km south of Taipei and fulls with espresso and music all the time for whom would like to spend time and energy to enjoy playing and learning with our school's kids aged 7 to 15.
In the night time we have free tropic conversation class for students to talk with helpers exchanging and sharing experience about traveling, working and food or helpers could choice proper topics for them.
Most of our school's regular (English classes) intensive schedule is from 0330pm(Wed. starting from 0130pm) to 0600pm and 0700pm to 0900pm for junior high students with English, Math class. Some younger kids who are grade 1 and 2 come after lunch to take a nap first or meeting . Most after-class kids come around 3 :30pm and they have to finish doing their school's homework first or doing exercise, reading and housework.About 5 pm we go to play soccer in the next public school till around 6 .
Helpers schedule will start from 11:30 to clean school and have lunch with us around 12 noon then walk to school to pick up younger kids helping them walk across street.On Mon. there is a small chat with one kid one time about what did they do on holidays
After finishing their homework we will take them to the neighbor public school playing soccer, basketball or any kinds of exercise.
On Fri. night after dinner we have swimming class. Helpers will be assistants in teaching and playing with the basic swimmers. If helpers are really good at swimming then you could teach them butterfly style or correct their free style and breast stroke swimming posture in English.
How much time and what scope of job for helpers to do will be depending on helpers English, sports ability and others skill.
The best time of our school for helpers is summer (winter) camp starting from 8 am with more outdoor activities during summer, winter long holidays. Camp schedule includes soccer, swimming, cycling, hiking and over night camping in the mountains or by the beach.
We have different goals for kids being more independent, international (vision) and touching the real first hand different culture of helpers from different countries with unique traveling, working experience or life style and kinds of skill.
Our school can offer free accommodation in our facing-park apartment where it is just 3 min. walk from our school and several east or western style breakfast shops just in 5 min. away. We have lunch and dinner on school days for helpers who would like to contribute their time and energy to play, learn with our kids after school and do some cleaning chore before school starting .Or to other schools(kindergarten or public schools) service or community are also could-be options for helpers.
Helpers usually spend 5 days a week in school for free accommodation, lunch and dinner and of course it could be negotiated with helpers' travel plan or any kind of situation.
If you can teach art, dance, music(play instruments), swim, math or English that will be great to our kids. Of course depend your teaching skill and experience will schedule what kind of class and how much time for you to teach.
It would be nice if helpers could stay up to two weeks at least for the length time is good for both sides to coordinate each other. Of course it is OK for more or less days depending on helpers' condition( traveling plan and visa situation ....) and our school need.
Helpers could take one week or more time to travel around Taiwan,leave the backpack(baggage) here, with our useful information in backpacker way,camping way or your way.(Taiwan is a beautiful island and easily to find lots of delicious food in every city night market or street food shops). We could offer tent, sleeping bag, map to you.
The east part of Taiwan and high mountains area (over 3000 meters high) are the must-visit lists for anyone who loves natural.

IF YOU DON'T LIKE TO PLAY (SOCCER,SWIMMING) OR TALK WITH KIDS WHO ARE ALWAYS NAUGHTY, NOISY BUT CUTE OR JUST WANT FREE ACCOMMODATION, PLEASE DON'T COME FOR WE HAD TWO TIMES UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE IS ENOUGH. ACTUALLY WE DO HAVE A GOOD TIME WITH HELPERS AND APPRECIATE THEM A LOT.

Actually we are very flexible and everything could be changeable(negotiable) depending with coming unexpected situation.
Most important is you have to like to play and learn with kids who sometimes (always) are naughty,impatient even rude but could learn something or anything just from you then you definitely will have a good time in our school.
The best way to our school(ZhongLi) from airport is taking the airport MRT to A21 Huanbei station then i could meet you in the front of ground exit.Give me a note or call to meet you there in 15 min.
If you already in Taipei then take the Taiwan rail train to the Zhongli station about for 50 min. then walk out from from the REAR station exit.Give me a call or note to meet you in 10 min.
