Children are such precious gifts we have right now who hold an important role for our future. They might be small, powerless, reckless, naughty or runny nosed, but they have something which elders don’t have. They have more time to study, create, develop and preserve than any of us, and their thought is still pure, white and vulnerable. They also like a leaf flown by wind which can go everywhere. They are still blind of the world, not taking sides of wars, or knowing that the world is not only place that they see every day. Children have a delicate thought which can be easily manipulated by wrong hands. If they were taught to kill, they would kill. If they were taught to hate, they would hate. But, if they were taught to love, they would love. That’s why children are such a precious gift for humanity and the world, because to change an adult perspective is almost impossible due to self-pride, but to teach children the right way is possible.

Why?
We believe that everyone can learn English. We believe that the world can be a better place to live in the future if we teach our children properly and guide them to the right way. We believe that even the naughtiest kids can be the best leader in the future if they have a good education. We believe that every child in this world has a fair chance to learn and develop themselves. We believe that without well educated, trained, and guided children, our world can turn into chaos. We believe that only children can save the future and create an ideal world where people respect each other instead of war, people respect the nature instead of cutting down trees and cause flood, and people can have a good life instead of street life. We believe that what we do can change the course direction of the world.
How?
By believing that, we built a language school where everyone is welcomed. A language school which have a full dedication and commitment to help children in the orphanages, villages, and schools in order to guide them to the right direction so they will have a greater chance to develop themselves to be a better person who commit to a greater good for the community.
What?
Our school organizes a non-profit volunteer organization which carries our beliefs into its fundamental, which dedicated it’s time to travel to villages in order to bring the world to children and which committed to a belief that each individual hold an important role for the future.
Vision and Mission
Our vision is to provide children a chance to speak, express and develop their thoughts in order to bridge their creativity, critical thinking, and care toward the world’s issues.
Our mission is to be the leading non-profit volunteer organization which focuses on children non-formal education.
Projects
Fingerprint Volunteer Program carries our beliefs that there is no distance too far too reach and space too wide to cross.
a.Short term program
Length: 4 until 16 weeks
Explanation: This is a short themed purpose program which offers volunteer to collaborate with local volunteers in short period of time. Due to its limited time, this program requires volunteers to work effectively in order to achieve the goals which along the journey volunteers will bring up discussion varies from social, environment, world, culture, cultural heritages until cross cultural understanding themed such as the similarities and differences between Indonesian culture of water usage or trash prevention and volunteers’ home country. The purpose of this program is to maximize the limited chance to help children by giving them the best opportunity to learn something from other people culture or background alongside developing their point of view through an effective workshops and discussions.
Types of programs:
- 4 weeks program
- 8 weeks program
- 12 weeks program
- 16 weeks program
(In every 4 weeks there will only one theme of discussion)
How the program works: The program will be held in schools, orphanages, and villages with children as the participants where the time of occurrence is later being agreed by both sides. One week before the program started, volunteers will be required to plan ahead their activities and goals through intensive meetings with program coordinators and other volunteers. After a theme is selected based on children’s criteria of needed knowledge, preparations will be held. Preparations itself will include, how the program goes? What tools needed for the program? What kinds of presentations are best to deliver? What kinds of activities are best to draw children attention and focus? How volunteers will collaborate between volunteer to another volunteer? What kinds of final projects are best for children to help them being critical and creative? And etc.
b.Long term program
Length: 16 until 48 weeks
Explanation: Long term volunteer program is a special program dedicated to individuals or group volunteer who want to be a part of a local community while doing the project. It will give deep understanding about customs, thoughts, and behavior of a certain local community and mutual understanding as a human being. Volunteer will work closely with local community and commit their time and knowledge to help children. The purpose of this program is to give the best help children in certain society can get by analyzing their environment behavior. It will give children more chance to interact with volunteers in order to build their confidence to express their ideas toward certain topic of discussion.
Types of programs:
- 16 to 32 weeks program
- 32 to 48 weeks program
How the program works: The program will be held in schools, orphanages, and villages with children as the participants. Volunteers will live in one of the members of the community in order to create a good understanding between volunteers and children, so that they will acquire a good method to help children through non-formal education. One week before the program started, volunteers will be required to plan ahead their activities and goals through intensive meetings with program coordinators and other volunteers to determine a good understanding of the culture, behavior, and community regulation.

General view: To join a Fingerprint volunteer project, volunteers must have these followings professional qualifications:

• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment;
• Ability to adjust to difficult living conditions;
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills;
Professional qualifications
• A university degree or higher technical diploma;
• One year above or less of relevant working experience;
How is the procedure? By joining Fingerprint volunteer program you have agreed on following agreements:
- The idea of volunteerism
As a non-profit volunteer organization, we don’t require volunteers to pay in order to join the program. They have to deal with the travel expenses and visa making by themselves. Otherwise we will open for donation in order to maintain our program so we can expand our wings to help more children and provide free accommodation.
- Cross cultural understanding
Volunteers must take an Indonesian and culture short course program (2-4 weeks) which has been prepared by administrator in order to understand more about the community and achieve the best result. More classes will be discussed in advance.
- Living in Salatiga and Accommodation
Volunteers will be provided with free accommodation by the program administrator and have to follow the regulation.
- Application procedures:
a. Make an application letter why you want to join this volunteer program? What is your call? Have you been in a volunteer program before?
b. Make a resume (including, your private information, contacts (Skype is needed for interview) additional skills you have, education, interest, how long will you be available for this program according to the projects description)
c. Send copy of your passport (It’s only needed to make sure that you are real person who willing to participate)
d. Send the documents from number 1 - 3 in a rar file using this format:

e. After we receive your e-mail, you will be contacted by us to set date and time for interview.
f. After the interview we will send you a confirmation e-mail if you are short listed.
