Aarti Home started in 1992 as an orphanage to take care of abandoned children. Soon it became clear that orphaned and abandoned girls were not an isolated problem, but a symptom of a greater issue that’s prevalent in our system. From being an orphanage, Aarti grew into an umbrella organization combating society’s attitudes towards girl children and women. Within the Aarti complex there is a home, a school and training facilities for underprivileged girls and women.
We are looking for (preferably) long term volunteers interested in:
a. Teaching English at Aarti School and
b. Coordinators for the Aarti Inner Healing Centre. A centre designed to rehabilitate 20 problem children under 12 coming from troubled backgrounds. Someone who is compassionate, patient and caring.
Volunteers would be working six days a week. Simple but comfortable accommodation and three meals a day provided.
