There is a lot we could talk about. I mean there are so many opportunities to learn and recreate. We have had a lot of visitors from all over the world who have traveled Alaska, and they say the Kenai Peninsula is the best.
The work varies. We have all the conveniences, but we live on the edge of massive
wilderness. Halibut Cove (our small island community) is small and semi remote. There are no roads. We travel by boat eight miles to get to the nearest road where we keep a truck. From there we can run into Homer for supplies. A portion of our life style is spent just living here. Other work includes things like cutting and burning brush, remodeling, organizing, working on docks and boats, mechanical work, snow removal, cleaning, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, & trail work. As spring comes there is grounds maintenance, gardens, & a greenhouse. I don't expect you to be experienced in everything. Mostly you will be working with me and I will train you where necessary.
Available Spring/Summer 2024.
There is a lot to do and learn. Alaska, has a way of changing people. You will never see life the same. It was that way for me.
