Two beautiful acres of pine forest with a lake good for swimming on the south side. The gardens are set up along the lake. This is a mostly secluded piece of property located at the end of a gravel road near 2 state parks. We will grow as much of our own food as possible (typical variety), plant fruit trees, build natural and eco friendly buildings, harvest rainwater, prepare fresh organic food, and enjoy living! minimum of 4 days, you decide the maximum. Year round except the middle of winter. Spring and fall are the best times to come. Tenting, flush toilette, hot shower, kitchen, a cob cottage (community room). Alternative construction such as cob (www.barefootbuilder.com), alternative energy such as running diesel engines on vegetable oil (www.dieseltoveg.com) solar electric, and rainwater collection. Work 4-6 hours a day, Six days a week. Transportation is available, English is spoken, and children and pets are welcome. We are vegan and mostly raw. We ask that no meat (except dog food) be taken onto the land, no dugs or alcohol. The property is located in an endangered species zone for the Huston Toad. We must take precautions not to interfere with the (very small) toads. No experience is necessary to work with us!
