"Central California. 160 acres of rolling hills and flat ground - totally off-grid resort, powered by a hybrid system of solar panels, wind & diesel powered generators. Aiming to be totally independent of fossil fuels. Established in the early 1900's, several buildings needing renovations. Our goal is to establish an organic farm as one of the many aspects of building a self-sustaining resort community. In addition to helping to establish the organic farm, 'volunteers can learn how renewable energy systems work and help us with carpentry, electrical, plumbing, tile work, masonry, painting and many other areas of construction. 35 miles from Los Banos and very close to the I-5. We can provide transportation and an internet connection via satellite. Sleeping accommodations, home cooked meals and access to the hot mineral spring baths, hot tubs and swimming pool.
