We’re looking for a caring, creative, and proactive mother’s helper to join our family! The role involves:
- helping with meal preparation
- spending time with the kids
- playing, exploring, and engaging with them
- tidying up the home to keep things organized.
- A big part of the role is following the kids’ lead. If they’re curious about a topic or activity, you’ll take the initiative to create fun adventures or learning opportunities, almost like being a mentor.
- You’ll also spend one-on-one time with one child while I focus on the other, ensuring each child gets undivided attention ☺
We’re a health-conscious family and eat a very clean diet. I’m a raw vegan, and when we’re together, we focus on fresh, whole fruits and vegetables. We’re looking for someone who’s open to this lifestyle and comfortable preparing simple, plant-based meals with us.
It’s important that you speak only French or Spanish to the kids and me when the kids are around, as language immersion is a priority for us.
We’d love someone warm, patient, and adaptable, who enjoys being part of a family environment.
If you have a valid driver’s license and can drive a stick shift, that’s a bonus but not required.
My kids are with me one week, then with their dad the next, so you’ll have plenty of time to yourself during the off weeks. I’m asking for about 20 hours of help every other week.
LIVING ARRANGEMENT
You will have your own private room with a shared bathroom in our small, intimate home, located on a quiet street in Ashland. We have a cozy, peaceful space with a small garden to enjoy. A grocery store is just a 15-minute walk away, and downtown Ashland is about a 30-minute walk. Our family are early risers, and we prioritize a restful environment—we turn off the WiFi at night for a calmer and healthier space.
Some meals will be included when my kids are home, and during your time off, you’ll have plenty of independence to relax, explore nearby towns, or enjoy everything Ashland has to offer.
