LIVING ARRANGEMENT
We have 2 properties: The Inn and the Yurt Village which are 1 mile apart. If you are staying at the Inn, you will be staying in a single bed, on the top floor in the employee room. This room has 2 comfy, single beds on the floor, and 1 full size bed. This room could be co-ed , depending on what kind of helpers we have at the time. We will have between 1-8 helpers at a time. If you stay at the yurt village, we have a new employee cabin that has 2 rooms. Each room has a bunk bed and small desk. We cannot ensure you will be lodging with someone of the same gender as you, but will try to rearrange the best we can. You will use the common shower house, bathroom and kitchen facility as the guests use on the property.
The Nauti Otter Inn is a rustic lodge. We have 3 private rooms on the bottom floor, a hostel upstairs with 6 beds, a loft area upstairs with 3 beds and the employee room is also located upstairs, behind your own door. Only employees will be allowed in the employee room. There are cubbies and storage for you to be able to unpack your suitcase. We have closets to store your suitcase when it is not in use. Inside the Inn, there is one shower, 2 toilets, 2 common kitchens and a living room with a fireplace and games. Behind the inn is a circle drive which has 6 small, dry cabins, a yurt on the mountain side, and 2 vintage campers. There is a single shower house and another toilet located outside. There is a fire-pit as well, in which we provide wood. In the evenings, it can be a bustling place with travelers cooking, mingling around the fire pit, or socializing inside around the dinner table and fireplace. The front door is always unlocked and we do have cameras on the property, but we have never had crime. Adrienne is the manager at the Inn and this will be her 6th year as manager. She has high expectations to cleanliness and will take time to train you on everything there is to know. We have training manuals and step-by-step procedures on how to clean every unit, so you will never feel lost or unsure about duties.
One mile away, is the Yurt Village. Clint and Heather (owners) live in a small cottage on the property. This property has 10 yurts, 1 cabin and an outdoor pavilion with a kitchen, 2 showers, and 3 toilets. There are picnic tables and a firepit here. Usually, we have our employee dinners here, as there is more room. The employees living at the Yurt Village, typically will go to the inn each day to have dinner.
The Nauti Otters enjoy hiking, and we try to go on as many hikes and picnics as possible. If the weather is sunny, we will have picnics at the beach. We also enjoy going to the bars and singing karaoke on Mondays and Wednesdays. There is live music at the bars in town every Friday and Saturday, and we enjoy going there, too. Dance night is on Thursdays at the Yukon Bar if you like to dance. We also like to play board and card games, so if you have any favorites, please bring them!
