Bittersweet Farm-New York

112 acre diversified organic family farm. We have greenhouses and raise vegetables, tamworth hogs, herbs, sheep, eggs and chicken. We grow some grains. Coming to Bittersweet Farm is a full immersion experience into activities on the farm and with the family. volunteers would be weeding, doing chores, planting, watering, and harvest. We are building a barn, harvesting firewood, and haying seasonally. There is a 12?x26? log cabin with loft (unfurnished) that can accommodate 4 adults or a family. Pets are negotiable based on their inclination to eat chickens or sheep. Suggested minimum stay is 1 week, with 6 hours of work each day. Open to long term arrangements. Tenters welcome if the cabin is full. Facilities available in the main farm house include shower, internet access, washing machine. Off-farm opportunities for recreation include canoeing, swimming, hiking, within an hours drive.
