We sustainably farm a large variety of row crops in Sonoma County, north of San Francisco. Our farm is small and our diverse crops are sold at farmers markets and to local restaurants. We're located in Dry Creek Valley, a beautiful valley surrounded by rolling hills and coniferous forests. The surroundings make for great hiking, bicycle riding, and river swimming. Bicycles are available for transportation, and transportation to and from local bus stops is provided. We are looking for people with a good work ethic who would like to learn how to grow and harvest vegetables, harvest and preserve fruit, care for chickens and who would like to join our farm family for a minimum of one week. We are looking for potential long term volunteers. Our growing season begins in March and ends in November. Our work day is 4-5 hours/day (usually in the morning), with weekends off, unless people 'volunteers' like sell the products at the farmers market on Saturday. We communally prepare and eat nutritious and delicious meals. Most meals are vegetarian, however we eat meat occasionally. Vegans and Vegetarians could easily be accommodated. We have two comfy bedrooms and can accommodate as many as 4 people.
