Project description: Llama Pack Project works to recover ancestral use of llamas as a pack animal for the tourism industry, to ensure mountain ecosystem conservation and generate sustainable high-Andean community development.
Tasks: You will be required to design and develop several graphic, video and multimedia presentations to promote several aspects of the project.
While volunteering for the Lama Pack Project you will be part of our team so you will also be expected to assist in basic tasks required to run the hostel. Such as: Open the door if new guests arrive. Show the guests the house rules and accommodation facilities. Ensure the house is clean and everything works.
Working hours: Monday through Friday 5 hours per day. Usually from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. but can be flexible.
Length of stay: 3 weeks.
Accommodation: You will be provided 1 bed in a 6-bed dorm at the Llama Pack House. We require a US$ 20 weekly fee for house maintenance. (Usual price is US$ 15 per night).
Food: We do not provide meals but you will be able to use the Llama Pack House kitchen facilities. You may buy food at the local market and stores.
Extra info: You must bring your own laptop. There is wi-fi at the house. You will be able to join us on llama treks or project excursions if there are any during your stay.
