Help a Peruvian family in the rain forest farm organically.

Location: Puerto Bermudez, Peru

We are a Peruvian family of 2 ( Miguel Bueno Ore, Husband-65 years old & Lucia de Bueno, Wife-63 years old) living in the beautiful Peruvian Amazon rainforest. Quite laid back and not at all professional farmers, in conversion trying to grow organically with an ecologically sound methods on our land.
we speak: Spanish, a bit Portuguese, and Basic English

we supply accommodation, but food must be supplied by woofers, as we have had many problems with regards to the meal: allergies, different tastes, habits, time to eat, style of life, preferences, etc).

Opportunities on our Organic Farm at the Peruvian Rainforest

We're currently accepting inquiries for the new season, starting at any time. Families, Couples and /or singles, MOST WELCOME

We have very nice and good interesting learning task & experience all the year around at our 25 Hectares (62 acre) organic farm & Homesteading.

The site is rural in a semi-remote area, living about 25 minutes away by car from Puerto Bermudez, a town of 20,474 people with a density of 1.9/ km2

We do not pay volunteers for their help but instead of that we supply room (accommodation, but food must be supplied by the volunteer, as we have had many problems with regards to the meal: allergies, different tastes, habits, time to eat, style of life, preferences, etc).

We respect all cultures and people and expect the same.

A big garden (5 acres), planted forest, with harvesting of wood & Medicinal Herbs. Fencing, pruning, some carpentry, brickwork, stonework, landscaping and trail maintenance, whatever life tosses at us

Bring high top sneaks or boots, rubber boots in rainy season, canvas backed leather gloves
The Site is primarily geared for healthy, wise and community living experiences.

Accommodation: Please contact at least 2 week in advance of arrival to reserve a spot. Max 6 volunteers per stay

Please bring your own Sleeping Bag & Tent camping (optional). This is a semi-room sharing. We ask for nothing, you are free to learn, share and spend the time you may need or want to work, with free time for personal upkeep and recovery (Remember everybody has a skill in something. We together have to find out what for your skills are good at and use them). Most woofers leave slimmer and trimmer.

Food supplied by woofers: 90% vegetarian, natural, fish, beef, etc. You will eat with the family (3 meals) and be required to help with cooking & dishes. But also, you are free to make your own meal

During the Week and/or Weekends we encourage woofers to fend for themselves or do extra chores.

When to come: From May to December, you are most welcome to join our family

Additional comments: We are humble and very simple, Christians and old. Be prepared for hot sweaty work, bring good gloves. We eat healthy and sleep early. Bring Antihistamines if any dangers of allergies. Primary contact via Email, phone service is sketchy. Location and directions line below.

For the moment we are in the rainy season as you must know we are living on the amazon rainforest. So, be prepare for that because is not easy at all but you will have a lot of love among us and a place in our hearts, life and family.
