Volunteer on the Caribean sea!

We use to work with Workaway, but the true is that their elitist conditions and the expensive that it is doesn´t seems fair for us. So we are trying to open ouerself to new horizons.

We inherited an old property which we've renovated with the help of volunteers. Now, we're transitioning to hosting guests and offering food, aiming to operate as a sort of hostel.
It's been a four-year journey that wouldn't have been possible without the support of our volunteers from all over the world.

We're just starting out and learning the ropes as we go along. The tasks can vary depending on the time of year you visit. Generally, they involve maintaining the property (cleaning, gardening, cooking, etc.), as well as other jobs like painting, crafting furniture, carpentry, or fixing things that tend to break due to our beachfront location.
Also there are moments of the year that the season is low, (May-June-September-October) where we need peolple that help us to take care of the house, cause there are not many tourist. And in this time is good to have peolple that could stay longer.

Notice that we live in the jungle, far from the city, so the main time the peolple that comes to help will be here arround. It is a big propertty, and is full of beach to go and to aknowlege here arround.

WORKING ARRANGEMENT

About the working agreement we try to be fair, and it´s depend on the task that we are needing help.
If the task are more phisycal, like gardening, mainteining, painting, etc. we ask for 4 hours a day, 5 1/2 days of the week.
If the task are more about beeing present, take care of the guest, recive peolple, we ask for 5 hours of the day. Cause the task are really chill, and they don´t envolve a really hard work.
We try to fpound peolple that want to stay more than 2 weeks usually, it´s preferable long stays.

LIVING ARRANGEMENT

In return of the work we offer a single room, so a private space, and all the facilities that the house have (bycicles, snorkels, internet, etc). Plast the oportunity of living 25 metters far from the sea.
About the food, like we are far from town (about 30 kms) all the food that the volunteers eat comes from us, breakfast, lunch, tea time, dinner, so what we do is that we ask for a contribution of 500 mexican pesos (25 dolars) per week.
