We are a family (Franco-Sud Americaine) that lives on a small coconut farm. We fight to live with a logic of sustainability, amid the unconsciousness of modernity. Recycling, planting, taking care of nature and experimenting in the creation of different natural products based on coconut and coconut oil. Our site is located 10 kms from the city of Aracaju, in front of the beach, surrounded and protected from beautiful plants, we have different species of fruit trees, medicinal, flowers and cactus.We believe that this exchange of experiences provided by volunteering is really a form of resistance to a society completely deformed by the system. Not only do we want to offer this beautiful experience of working with coconut, land and creativity, but also open the doors of our site to share a little our lifestyle, visiting and camping a lot in unexplored places, music, football, water sports as Surfing, kitesurfing ....
We need volunteers with good willingness and constancy to work with our hands. As these are our most precious resource to make handmade products such as coconut oil, to work the soil and to do bioconstruction.
Currently we work daily in the production of organic and artisanal coconut oil, creating new products such as deodorant, exfoliant, vegan cheese and toothpaste.
We also have another type of work that can help us, such as the maintenance and cleaning of the house and the surroundings, the daily lunch preparation and perhaps some administrative help if there is a need.
We value new ideas very much, because we live surrounded by a plant that has infinite uses to be explored and we really appreciate that energy of beginning a new process of experimentation with the coconut tree.
We have several types of accommodation depending on the availability and the organization of the moment. We have an simple ecological cabin made by volunteers with coconut leaves with beds with their mosquito guard, and light. A very nice atmosphere made and surrounded with nature. We also have the option to camp in a space on the highest part of the property, under roof, overlooking the beach and the sunset at the same time. There is the volunteer area where they have a kitchen, a bathroom, a dry toilet, a hammock in a cute kiosk at disposal.
Our working day is 5 hours for 5 days a week. We offer accommodation with all basic services, sleep, water, electricity and gas to cook when needed. We give food for breakfast during the days.
