TEACHING & CHARITY WORK

Location: Mbita, Kenya

Sec School was founded 2016 to provide quality education and support needy children of Rusinga Island. The school offers the variety of subjects which includes; Mathematics, English, Kiswahili, Social Studies, Religious education, Art craft and music. Besides we do charity work of providing bursary to High school students and provision of food to the poor particularly the widows. We also do gardening.

WORKING ARRANGEMENT

Volunteers could help the school by teaching, cooking for children, indoor and outdoor games, singing games, small fundraising to support bursary for high school from the village, gardening etc. Working hours 4 - 5. During of stay depends on the interest of the volunteer but we prefer not less than a week to a month.

LIVING ARRANGEMENT

The volunteers stays in the Director's compound with their own separate building where they stay. The building has got enough beds, electricity and shower and a kitchen where volunteers prepare their own meals.
