Help provide Education and Vocational Skills Training to orphans in Solwezi District of Zambia

The Charity Centre for Children and Youth Development (CCCYD) appreciates the opportunity to submit the request for volunteers towards fundraising for the construction of a 1x4 classroom block and also provision of education and vocational skills training in Solwezi District of Zambia. CCCYD provides orphans and vulnerable children in Zambia with education and skills training opportunities. We aim to help children in the Solwezi district of Zambia receive education in order to mitigate the generational effects of poverty.To achieve this mission, we are requesting for volunteers to help us fund-raise and build the school as well as offer education and vocational skills to the less privileged children and the youth. Our organization has received a donation of assorted vocational tools from Tools for Change but we have in adequate classrooms for vocational skills as the current classrooms are used for academic programs from Grade one to seven. CCCYD is currently facing strains to accomplish our goals of providing children’s vocational skills for self-reliance. Your support will make it possible for vulnerable children in Solwezi District to pursue sustainable life skills such as tailoring, carpentry, knitting, basic computer skills etc, hence helping vulnerable children towards achieving a promising future.
We are passionate about ensuring a successful future for children who otherwise would not have the opportunity or support to receive any tertiary education.

WORKING ARRANGEMENT
We have long term opportunities for volunteers but volunteers can stay a minimum of 14 days
LIVING ARRANGEMENT
Our organization can facilitate for accommodation but volunteers should pay for their own food, air tickets and local transportation.
